Lab employees are responsible for assisting patrons with gaining access to software, exiting, printing, and saving. * Lab employees may not touch the keyboard.
General Access Computer Labs operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons must present a valid University photo ID card to gain access to the lab. As a courtesy, patrons who are registered in the Labs' database may be granted one-time access into the labs with a photo ID. The lab employee will keep the ID card while the patron is in the lab.
Cell phones, pagers and other electronic devices must be set on silent mode prior to entering the lab areas. The patron must step out of the lab to have a phone conversation. If a patron does not leave the lab while talking on the phone, lab personnel will ask the patron to step out of the lab.
Only work which falls under the university guidelines for meeting the degree requirements for all courses taken may be printed in General Access Computer Labs. ** Students will be allowed to make one printout per document.
A waiting list will be maintained in the labs when necessary, and during these times computer use may be limited to two hours per patron to provide equal and timely computer access for all patrons. In order to be placed on the waiting list, patrons must give the lab employee their University ID. The list will be kept in the order in which the IDs were received
